Eat Healthy--Recommended Eating Items
Eat well before practice-- Recommended breakfast ideas: Cheerios (cereal), yogurt, pancakes, oatmeal.
Recommended lunch: Sandwich with meat like Turkey, Roast Beef, Ham, bagels
Recommended snacks: Bananas, Apples, Nature Valley Oat Bars, Trail Mix
Drink 8 bottles of water minimum a day--No SODA!!!
Dinners- Chicken, Salmon, Pasta, Carne Asada, Stir Fry, Tacos, Burritos, Lasagna, Spaghetti, Enchiladas, etc.
Avoid Burgers and Hot Dogs, if you really want to be your best. Those foods should be limited.
PRACTICES & MEETS
Be EARLY to bus departures, meets, and practices.
Always wear your running shoes
Always bring a watch
Drink plenty of water (4-8 bottles minimum) daily
Always bring uniform
When you can, choose to run with someone else.
Attend all practices
If you have to miss a practice, notify coach first. Then run on your own, by obtaining the workout from the website or coach.
Work hard in workouts
Be nice to other runners
